			Spomes are colonies of microscopic organisms. They are lighter than air, and they are able to float on wind currents. Spomes lack the ability to propel themselves and go wherever the wind takes them.

			A spome is jelly-like in texture. It will bounce when coming into contact with most objects. under force a spome can be crushed or split open easily. In most occasions the surviving remnants will form new spomes.

			Spomes are filter-feeders thriving on air particles. Spomes have little nutritional value themselves so they have no major predators.

			Spomes are bioluminescent, and during the night they can be seen glowing softly.
