			The Alpine Zone has very few trees. The terrain is mostly steep, rocky, and covered in snow and ice. Despite this, several [[toki]] villages call this place home. Snow Tokis are specially adapted to the cold and are unbothered by below freezing temperatures.

			The mountains are formed from semi-active volcanoes. Once a year, during the Month of Eruptions, these volcanoes will erupt in a dazzling display. During the rest of the year, these volcanoes provide a source of hot water and steam through their geothermal vents. Many tokis use this as a natural sauna for warming their scales.

			During the Month of Ice, fresh snowfall sets the stage for Tarati's Annual Winter Sporting Event. During this event, tokis from the [[Jungle Zone]] migrate to the Alpine Zone for a week of intense competition.
